OKSTRA^® and its Neighbours – a Study of Linking and Reutilization of Data Exchange Standards

Abstract:
The objective of the R&D project is the theoretical and practical study of the parallel, coupled usage of standardized data models and data exchange methods relevant for the road and transport domain. The theoretical part comprises the domain and IT related analysis of the standards and related use cases plus the analysis and rating of coupling methods. The practical part consists of three proof-of-concept realizations to show the practicability and to test the theoretical rating of the methods. Usage of the methods is possible with modest expense, allows the continued use of established data models and interfaces, and may promote the exploitation of synergies to technically handle novel interdisciplinary use cases.
